Persian Gulf Water Transmission

The company VASCO, or “Persian Gulf Water Supply and Transfer Company,” has been established as the responsible entity for desalination and water transfer from the Persian Gulf to the southeastern mining industries of the country. This company has been pursuing the transfer of desalinated water from the Persian Gulf to the mining industries in central regions of Iran. Among the companies involved in this project are Golgohar, National Iranian Copper Industries Company, and Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company. This initiative has been undertaken due to the economic feasibility of transferring desalinated water instead of transporting minerals to the shores of the Persian Gulf.
